Youth Parliement Audience with the Deputy Minister for Education

Thursday, 2 February 2012, the youth representatives who are members of Youth Parliament visited the office of Deputy Minister for Education, Ministry of Education and Culture to present their aspiration and recommendation as form of Indonesian youth participation in development. This activity held by the IFL (Indonesian Future Leaders) and facilitated by the Youth Desk - Indonesian National Commission for UNESCO.
ISAFIS Held Its Strategic Int’l Studies Basic Course (SISBAC) in UNESCO Youth Desk

Indonesian Students Associations for International Studies or familiarly known as ISAFIS visited UNESCO Youth Desk Indonesia National Commission for UNESCO office in Senayan, Jakarta to have a discussion on the theme of “Empowering Indonesian Youth Participation in Anticipating Social Issues” (27/1/12). This kind of visit and discussion with international institutions/organizations is regularly held by ISAFIS under the name of Strategic International Studies Basic Course (SISBAC).

ISIC has always been very proud of the international endorsement it receives from UNESCO, which is the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization. Now ISIC Indonesia has entered into a cooperative partnership locally with the Indonesian National Committee for UNESCO Youth Desk. Recognizing the importance of youth participation in Indonesia's national development, INCUYD was officially established and launched in 2010 to be mutually beneficial for youth community/youth groups and the INCU. "Young people have as much to say about societal problems and potential remedies as others do" says Leo Mokodompit, INCU Youth Desk Coordinator. He continues... "Indonesia's youth are not only the future but also the present. We believe in our motto to Engage, Ensure, Encourage and Empower Indonesia's youth so they can raise their voice and participate actively in UNESCO's sectors of Education, Science Culture and Communication."

National Leadership Development Training for Indonesian Rover Scout Council

The National Rover Scout Council as part of Indonesian Headquarter of Scouting Movement (Kwartir Nasional Gerakan Pramuka) held a program for youth named National Leadership Development Training. Running at December 11th – 17th 2011 in Cibubur, 2 – 3 youth representatives of Regional Rover Scout Council from all provinces in Indonesia became the participants in this training. Almost all participants aged 16 – 23 years old seemed enthusiastic in following the program. They were really active in sharing and inspiring each other. It showed the spirit of Indonesian young people.
